"Check-in was good, as was the carpark below the hotel. This was safe and secure and was not too expensive at £15 for the night. The staff mentioned breakfast was likely to be busy as the hotel was near capacity,. This was the case as the staff were rushed off their feet trying to keep the buffet replenished and clear tables etc. They struggled and breakfast was a bit it of a waste of time as there was only some breads available when we were there. This is not the staffs fault, clearly the hotel was either not prepared with the amount of staff they needed, or did not have the produce available. The location was good and would happily stay here again."
"Friendly Hotel close to local facilities, restaurants and attractions. Rooms adequate, clean and comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the help and kindness received from Chloe and her partner. I’d recently had a knee operation and was still using a stick. This made self service at breakfast a challenge as I was on my own. Nothing was too much trouble, Chloe was very happy to help me, she brought my choice of breakfast to my table. She showed a willingness to help and it was much appreciated… the same with her partner. Thank you"
"A generic chain hotel which was functional and a great location for a visit to The Albert Dock and M&S arena. Chose this hotel over others as had a basement car park which was bookable in advance with a reasonable fee of £15 for 24 hours. The rooms were clean and spacious, also nice and quiet with soundproof rooms. Space at breakfast was limited but the 3 of us were accommodated. A wide range of self service options for both cold and hot foods, including make your own waffles - something I've not seen before. Just across the road is the historic and famous Baltic Fleet which is well worth a visit. If returning to Liverpool I would probably stay here again."
"Pros: great location, clean rooms, nice breakfast variety (compared to the states), well appointed bathrooms, safe easy parking. Cons: impossible bathroom slider door, little bath privacy, hard beds, parking expensive compared to room price. Elevator card reader was out. I’ve stayed in a couple hotels now with seizing bathroom sliders on worn out tracks. If I was an old weakling I’d be still trapped in the toilet room. Otherwise enjoyed polite staff so give a 4 over a 3."
"The hotel is fine, & well located. Rooms are good & staff helpful & friendly. Unfortunately it’s let down by breakfast. The staff try hard, with front of house chipping in too, but the breakfast facilities are under specified for the capacity of the hotel. Coffee & fruit juice machines run out routinely. On both days at least one element of a cooked breakfast has run out & not been replenished, add to that a lack of drinks + empty tomato ketchup (all of them) - it’s a disappointment. Staff are so flat out that dirty plates are piled up on trolleys right in the eating area and tables waiting to be wiped. To me this is no reflection on staff effort, the hotel group/management need to look at the breakfast needs of the hotel capacity & figure out how best to invest & fix the issue."
