"The staff members are very friendly, the owner (i think he was the owner) not that much, a bit of a grump. Good selection of products though!"
"Thought I would try this shop on my walk home. Got a key cut but had to go back the next day because the new key wouldn’t turn in the lock. Very helpful guy apologised and cut another copy. Again the key wouldn’t turn in the lock. Can’t be bothered to go back a third time. Will use Carr’s at South Norwood clock tower instead."
"Avoid at all costs. Bought lights for nearly £30 that were advertised as lasting at least 10 years. He tried to tell me it wasn't his responsibility and to talk to the manufacturer. He then hung up on me having said 'he's a busy man'. This after I told him I'm trying to find time to come up and return everything with a newborn baby"
"Been going here for years and the staff are usually helpful. 1st Issue I had was last week when someone was coughing with their mask pulled down onto their chin(which obviously makes them pointless). I had to get something down that particular isle so was happy to wait a couple mins for them to move. The usual staff asked me why I was waiting and I explained. Turns out the guy down the aisle now works there(never seen him before!) and he got quite aggressive and started yelling "don't you have eyes" and "you have a big mouth". All because I didn't want to go down the same isle with someone coughing into mid air given a global pandemic with an airborne virus! Pretty shocking behaviour. Not sure if he only has the gal to speak to women like that or if he extends all his customers the same shoddy customer service. Either way, it's not ok. The only reason I didn't walk straight out was one of the usual staff came over to help me. I always support local where possible, but this has made me consider using Amazon, or another store. Sorry guys but that experience really put me off using your store in the future unless I become really really stuck. It's a pity."
"The place to find most things you need in Crystal Palace' triangle. A fabulously well organized hardware store. From kitchenware, stuff for garden to toilet unblockers (good if your recent vegetarian diet has caused some toilet issues)."
