"Great hotel, good value for accomodation. Nice bar area. Good food"
"We booked for lunch on Sunday and the food was nice but the service terrible. We were a group of 7 and our food didn’t arrive together, the gap from the first plate to the last plate brought to the table was 30 minutes. My friend ordered a brownie and this arrived before the main meal, even though she specifically asked for it after the main meal. When we asked for the brownie to be warmed up in the microwave, it took over 10 minutes and then we were fed up and wanted to leave so asked for a refund and the staff behind the bar argued back. Not a great experience, we will not be coming back for food."
"Good food let down by terrible service. We had to wait 30 minutes for the last person at our table to be served, by which point we had all finished eating. One of our party was served their dessert before their main course. When they then took half an hour to heat this up after we had finished eating. The manager refused to give us a refund saying it was impossible to process. Very poor customer service and we won’t be back."
"Lovely meal at the little John hotel! We popped in the day prior to eating her for a drink and were impressed with what we saw so decided to come back the next day to eat. They have a good range of beers and wines as well as large menu with classic dishes. I had the steak which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious but also due to being steak night an absolute bargain! They are open quite late for food making them a great stop after a long day of hiking."
"Had such a lovely lunch came back that evening for tea. Food is fantastic and puddings to die for. Employees were amazing, such a warm welcome. Couldn't wish for any more. Would definitely recommend."
