"What a find this was. Went for a walk in the nr by forest and went for a drink here afterwards. The lady who greeted us was so lovely as were all the staff. I asked if food was on which it wasn't for a further hour. She said she would do us some nachos and a bowl of chips, which was just what we wanted a bit of a snack. The bowl was massive and were some of the nicest chips i have tasted in a long time. Definitely would revisit if in tge area again"

"First visit in 2023 and as always, perfect! Friendly, welcoming, my usual room (and I only stay 3-4 times per year). Food is excellent and the rooms are always very clean and well presented. Staff are polite and attentive. Highly recommended."

"Too expensive for the room. It looked very tired. Bathroom was OK but bedroom had an awkard distribution. Tea/coffee tray, no light in corridor. Only one plug which had the night lamp and a very strong fragrance plug in for such a small room and not great view. Only 3 hangers,.minimum should be 6. A tiny electric heater and the room door had a gap which made me feel uncomfortable and let the draft in, I was thinking anyone could open that door as it look easy tobe open. Breakfast was good. Staff was really good. Let down was the room. Pillows were uncomfortable. No mirror in bedroom. Room looked clean but very tired and there is nothing there that attracts me to return. I did not sleep as bed was not comfortable.I was looking forward to seeing the daylight in order to go home. How unfortunate! It was supposed to be a nice night out."

"Stayed in Room 6, it was very basic, small and lacking essentials and just generally seemed in disrepair especially as it is the same price as all the other small double rooms (no towel rail, bin broken, TV turns off every few minutes and only has 4 working channels anyway if you can even see it from the other side of the room, stained frayed blinds). Main door into the room also did not close properly and had to be pushed hard to close which with the walls as thin as they were is hardly going to be good for any neighbours if you come back late, judging by the late night crashing of other doors it seems the other rooms had the same issue. Compared to all the pictured rooms other guests have taken room 6 is really letting you down. Food was good in the restaurant for the evening and breakfast even though it seemed quite limited in choice for breakfast."
