"Don’t be fooled by the modern finish, this hotel has been disappointing. We stayed for one night to break up a long journey, hoping for a well needed rest to continue our drive the next day. Unfortunately the hotel failed to inform us that a wedding was taking place, and we were placed in a room directly above the reception. All we could hear was loud music and shouting as soon as we entered, which didn’t subside at all until 11pm. The other non-wedding guests attending encountered the same experience. On top of this we tried to order some room service in the evening and after calling multiple times we actually had to go down ourselves to place the order, which makes the whole point of room service redundant. The room itself whilst being a modern finish was actually quite dirty, and looked as though house cleaning hadn’t done a thorough job. There was even some half used toilet roll in the bathroom which was dirty. When we actually tried to sleep we found ourselves unable to relax due to the music and a loud whirring noise coming from the ceiling - we once again had to call reception to rectify this issue which was supposedly due to a fresh air fan. Unexpectedly we woke in the morning feeling very unimpressed, although the breakfast was nice. I would have slept better at a nightclub. When we checked out we received a semi-rehearsed excuse from management about why we were placed above the reception, even though ironically enough the same person checked us in to the room the day before. They didn’t even try to sort out the problem."

"Visited the Orangery restaurant. Car park includes 2 EV destination chargers There's a spacious bar area adjacent to the restaurant with a comprehensive drinks list including non-alcoholic options. Excellent menu, fantastic food, enjoyable atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly, and food arrives served by robots, without losing the human touch. It's fun to watch the operation as the robots find their way between tables and the kitchen. Thank you Olivia for great service."

"Stayed at this hotel recently and it was great. Staff were lovely and the hotel is beautifully presented. Breakfast was also excellent with a great selection. I had requested an early check in, the hotel were unable to 100% confirm this was available until I arrived at the hotel. However this would not put me off staying here again."

"Absolutely awful!! Don’t waste your money or your time. My friend got married here and we was told by staff we had to stop drinking and having fun as it was against there rules. People was asked to leave the hotel due to being drunk (at a wedding) The party got shut down 2 hours before it was supposed to. Bottles of champagne that was left in the room before her getting married to go back to after the ceremony had been taken by the cleaners!! Like £100 a bottle! Was asked to prove we was staying there numerous times after going out of the building to smoke. Telling kids off for playing outside and running around the dance floor. Prices are ridiculous and food is rubbish. After reading all these BAD reviews I can’t believe this place is still open. I will not be returning."

"We stayed here following our wedding at another location, so I was a little worried about arriving in my dress having not booked anything wedding related as such here, (this is due to a previous review I've read) we were just staying the night and having a meal with our family in the restaurant. However, the staff were wonderful, they treated my self and new husband as if we had been married there. The service was faultless, the food was wonderful, the staff were beyond helpful and friendly. We were given an upgraded room at check-in which was a lovely gesture from the hotel. All of our family and friends had nothing but good reviews for the restaurant, the service was quick and efficient for a large table (12 of us). Breakfast was a great way to start the day, a good choice of foods, with coffee and tea always available and fresh fruit juices. All in all, both my partner and I have said we'd happily stay here again and we'll definitely be back for our first anniversary. Thank you for helping make our special day all the more special!"
