"Lovely, welcoming pub with great food. They have a new chef who started in March 2023. Had a lovely hot roast beef sandwich for lunch which came on fresh, home-baked bread and with a delightful salad. Excellent value. They had some lovely cakes too which are available all day with teas and coffees. The pub is surrounded by amazing countryside, so it's ideal for a pit stop on your walk and your dogs are well catered for too."

"A wet and windy day when we popped in around 11.30, only had a coffee but the wife had to have a cake and hot chocolate! Lovely conversations with the landlord and customers so going back soon to try a decent selection of beers. Now living near this pub so beers are excellent, Timothy Taylor Champions Club, food is very good and plenty of it, loving being this close."
"Met the family for lunch on Xmas Eve. As usual the pub was warm and clean and friendly and the welcome was heartfelt and genuine. There is always an excellent choice of local and guest ales and very well priced food cooked to order. And the views are to die for."
