"There is a RAINBOW TROUT in the springs! If anyone hurts him, I will reap havoc upon the Bay of Plenty. This is the freshest place in the world, as far as I'm concerned, and I would like it to remain clean and natural."
"The beauty of the blue water is amazing!! These are fresh water springs so the water is freezing. There are no toilets here. A couple of BBQ toilets. Located at the bottom of a gravel road."
"Family safe. Still need family to be alert for young children in the spring pool. Clear water and 5feet deep. Nice environment"
"Hidden swimming/picnic spot. The map marker is the place just off the road where you can park but the springs are down the dirt road beyond the gate. The springs is also the local water supply and cold & clear water fills a stone lined pool which overflows into the nearby Tarawera River. There is a single park bench to picnic on or a large swarth of grass which is mown. No toilets or other facilities. It is private land so respect the owners & take all your rubbish with you and leave it as you found it."
