"Beautiful walk today. The carpark was full but plenty of spots on the side of the road. Leave valuables at home. Wear good shoes, it's muddy as can be expected this time of year, but still an easy walk. Recommend if you are keen to see the blue stream in particular, park at the Leslie road end. Narrow track in parts, appreciate travelers adhering to walking on the left. It's quite awkward getting the stare like I'm in the wrong place! Good for strollers down to the first viewing platform from Leslie road, therafter not ideal with stairs, one section (see photos) is quite steep in particular, so also be weary with front packs and little kiddies. Go slow. Average fitness only required, I'd say. Great for many ages. Mix of dirt track and boardwalks otherwise. Pass carefully with kids, no barriers here. People were generally quite friendly. Take water, maybe a snack with little ones. Please take home rubbish. I was happy to see only a few pieces. Adhere to the warning signs, and don't drink the water. It's pretty and very clear, but no doubt full of farm run-off. Great walk for pics, as you can see. Very nice introduction to the rural waikato but also some older native sections with punga ferns and mossy boulders, which look ancient. Definitely felt the wairua here! Give a rock a pat, and thank the whenua for such a lovely spot."
"Wonderful views. The water is really clear. Phenomenal scenes. Highly recommended."
"Great walk of the blue springs. Very easy 8k. Good for families. Good swimming area at the beginning of it"
"We walked past the rapids along the Te Waihou walkway. The water ran faster and there was a waterwheel there which looked like was actually generating electricity. It was a bit hidden from the bush so you could hear it more than you could see it."
"Flash back to my childhood! This stream is beautiful! We didnt do the whole walk, but you don't need to, even if you just want to walk down and experience the views. Must see!"
