About the Business
Welcome to Cust Community Centre, located on Mill Road in Cust, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we strive to serve our community and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
At Cust Community Centre, we believe in the importance of understanding the needs and desires of our community members. That's why we have developed our Community Outcomes, which guide us in making decisions that truly benefit our community. We value the input and opinions of our residents and aim to create a space that reflects their interests and priorities.
We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating Welcoming Week (Te Wiki O Manaaki) starting from Friday, 1 September. This is a great opportunity for us to come together as a community and celebrate our diversity and inclusivity.
As part of our commitment to providing quality recreational spaces, we are currently considering a proposal to replace the playground at Currie Park with a new play space at Norman Kirk Park in the Kaiapoi East area. We value your thoughts and opinions on this matter and encourage you to share your feedback with us.

We are delighted to share that Waimakariri Mayor Dan Gordon has welcomed a policy announcement from the Government that promises to deliver the Woodend Bypass. This development will greatly benefit our community and improve transportation in the area.
It is important to note that the Mandeville area has experienced flooding in the past, including recent storm events in 2014, 2017, 2022, and 2023. We are actively working towards finding solutions to mitigate the impact of floods and ensure the safety of our residents.
We would also like to highlight that the Waimakariri District Council has received numerous submissions and requests under the Official Information Act regarding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), among other queries. We are committed to transparency and accountability, and we strive to address these inquiries appropriately.
During the wet winter months, some fords in the district may be closed for safety reasons. However, we will ensure that alternative routes are well sign-posted and available to minimize any inconvenience. Please visit our website for the latest updates on road closures and alternative routes.
