"Terrible experience for a tenant who has never missed a single rent . Appalling customer service , they never respond to emails and calls or text messages . Now they are fleecing us with cleaning charges - just because our bond money is with them . Slammed us with a bill of NZD900 for cleaning a 1 bedroom unit versus a verbal Cost estimation of NZD350 ! I can even understand NZD450 but NZD900 Is extortion! I am just disgusted and have no access to anybody at the managerial levels as these agents don’t give you that access or I am assuming each is as bad as the other . If my bond money is not returned amicably after a reasonable deduction , the tribunal is sure the way I will take this . Someone needs to teach them how to behave with responsible residents of this country !"

"Really disappointing experience from a tenant that never missed a rent and looked after the property like it was my own.With no communication on Bond refund plus new tenants been shown through without asking if this was ok when I was still living at the property - 1 hour late for agreed appointment and a cleaning fee of $500 with no details why. "I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the property managers at Prestige Properties. If you are expecting responsiveness and professionalism avoid this company. They were consistently slow to reply to any form of communication, sometimes never replying. Moreover, their unprofessional behaviour during phone conversations was highly disappointing. They often failed to handle conversations in a respectful and courteous manner, which only exacerbated the frustration I experienced while dealing with them. Following from our lease ending, it took them 20 days to send us a bond refund form. We had completed one and sent this in prior as given the timeline, we were not confident they would send us a form. However, they informed us that our form was invalid without stating why. At this point, I decided to contact the tenancy services where I was informed that my name was NOT on the lease. Prestige Properties – unsure how the name fits – had failed to send the change of tenancy bond form to the tenancy services. Although they are required to submit this form WITHIN 23 working days, 70 working days later they still had not. When contact was made with Prestige Properties regarding this, the woman on the phone informed us that there was a mistake with the form. However, this was not communicated with us. Nor was this reflected at the time, when we messaged them asking about the form to which they replied, “all good”. We responded by informing them that their communications did not reflect this and sent three messages asking why then that the form had not been submitted. To this the lady avoided, deflected and swore at us on the phone followed by telling us to "shut up", not answering our query. They then informed us that they would call us, however when we followed up with this we were told “As mentioned earlier I am doing inspections today and cannot continue to respond to your unreasonable questions”. I am still unsure how it is unreasonable to request to lodge a bond form or query why this had not been done – as I was informed that their failure to do so, is an unlawful act."
