About the Business
Victoria Park is a sprawling recreational area that stands as one of the most significant parks in Ballarat, Australia. Situated in the heart of Victoria, City of Ballarat, Newington, this establishment boasts a rich history that dates back to 1890. On 23 May of that year, the citizens of Ballarat came together to plant over 3000 trees, commemorating Victoria's inaugural Arbor Day.
One of the standout features of Victoria Park is its inclusive play space, which encompasses various play zones and accessible equipment designed to accommodate individuals of all abilities. Since its opening in 2016, this play space has attracted an impressive annual footfall of approximately 140,000 visitors.
What makes Victoria Park's inclusive play space truly exceptional is its emphasis on inclusivity for all, rather than being exclusively dedicated to individuals with disabilities. Here, children, parents, grandparents, and carers of all ages and abilities can come together, play, and socialize side by side. This unique environment fosters community connectedness and strengthens the bonds between individuals from diverse backgrounds.
The realization of this remarkable project was made possible through the unwavering support of Touched by Olivia, community and business partners, and the tireless advocacy of the Disability Advisory Committee. Victoria Park's Inclusive Play Space is part of the esteemed Livvi’s Place Network.

"A good place with many kids activities and shady trees. This place has a small cricket oval and small cricket net practice area. A ground for Freesbie with baskets and platform."
"Great park with heaps of different things to do. There is a bike track, a play park, toilets, drinking taps, an oval and a little bit away from the park there is a huge hill that kids ride down. Super awesome and beautiful place to go."
