"I would save my time. Prices are ridiculously overpriced! Seems there is now a pricing person “who knows brands” and Google lens everything to put a premium price. This used to be a op shop favourite. I have now walked out empty handed several times due to pricing. Stock would move so much faster if it wasn’t overpriced. Truly hope management can revise their pricing guidelines."
"$8 for a blu ray! Obviously the pricing people haven't heard of streaming. Either that or greed wins again at the Salvos. The Salvos should be taxed."
"Years ago before the currently management, this op shop was the best in Ballarat. Unfortunately due to current front of house & management the prices are now ridiculously high for donated clothing/shoes & bric-a-brac and prices are made up on the spot if they see a brand they think you should be paying a high price for. Male at reception is rude and always says that clothes had tags on them when they didn't and charges more. Management is often overheard berating and yelling at her workers who are all volunteers. Won't be back. Other op-shops in Ballarat are cheaper and far friendlier."
"Their price system is messy, they have a rack with clothes have individual price tags which are expensive, most of clothes don’t have price tags and are usually cheap, for example, all tops without price tags are $2, however if you find something doesn’t have a price tag but it is a ‘good’ brand, when you check out, the male staff or the female manager will charge you more $$ than other clothes although it doesn’t have the individual price tags, this makes me feel very uncomfortable. Do not take advantage of your customers like this."
"been here twice and both times felt uncomfortable. staff will pretend to be customers and stand right next to you when you try and look at anything, mostly in the clothing area which is tight in space as it is. no social distancing. always felt I was being watched. I wont bother coming back here for a look again, they did have a $1 clothing sale, couldn't look at any clothing. large media area but $5 for a cd no thank you. No parking either."
