Dr. Shaku brings years of experience from working in hospitals across multiple states in Malaysia before settling as a GP in Kuala Lumpur. She then served as a senior medical officer in a 20-bed hospital in outback Queensland and spent 6 years at the Edmonton Family Medical Cairns. In February 2018, she opened her own clinic, Willowglen Medical, in Toowoomba.

In addition to her extensive medical expertise, Dr. Shaku is fluent in multiple languages including Malay, Tamil, Urdu, and Hindi. Her diverse background and experience in urban and rural hospitals, as well as maternity and child health clinics in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Australia, make her an exceptional GP who can provide a unique and personalized approach to your health care needs.

Dr. Buddi Wijesiri is another valuable member of our team. With experience as a General Practitioner in Sri Lanka and Maryborough, Dr. Buddi specializes in Cardiology at the Friendly Society Private Hospital in Bundaberg. Currently, he practices General Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the Hevrveybay Hospital. With a keen interest in Mental Health, Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Skin Checks, and Cardiology, Dr. Buddi is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients.

Dr. Lakshmiprabha Murugesan, also known as Dr. Usha, is a highly qualified medical professional with over three decades of experience. With a specialization in Infectious Diseases, Immunology, and Allergies, Dr. Usha has worked as a GP consultant, lecturer, and Chief Blood Bank officer in various hospitals and medical colleges in India and Australia. Her special interests lie in being a dedicated family physician.

Our wonderful Practice Nurse Gillian brings over 20 years of nursing experience in hospitals, aged care, and general practice. With a preference for practice nursing, Gillian provides a warm and caring environment for all our patients, treating them with respect, skill, and empathy that is hard to find elsewhere.
