"Don’t come in mid-August!!! The roses are not in season. Just a few are still blooming. Loads of parking available though"
"Visited Newtown Park with a client for lunch. There we sat at one of the many picnic tables under the shade of the trees. At Newtown park there are sports ovals, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, bbqs, toilet blocks and undercover areas. The Rose Gardens that are a part of Newtown Park are a must see when they are in season. Definetly bring yourself and the whole family down to visit the park and gardens!"
"A pleasant and seasonal garden which is nice for a short stroll. There's a few BBQ and picnic opportunities, and it's definitely worth visiting in Spring / Summer to see the rose garden at its best. Dogs are allowed on leash too."
"Beautiful relaxing spot to wander around definitely worth checking out. Seems to be quieter than Queen's Park so if you want a beautiful relaxing spot this could be it."
"Absolutely stunning. What a beautiful garden. It easy to see that the gardeners take such care and pride in this gorgeous garden. Lovely experience. Very peaceful. Nice to walk around to look at all the fabulous roses in varying colours and sizes. If you just want to sit and take it all in, there are heaps of places to just sit and enjoy. Well worth a visit."
