Welcome to Rockingham Youth Centre (RYC), a vibrant establishment located at 20 MacKinnon Street in Rockingham, Australia. As a point of interest in our community, we are dedicated to supporting and empowering young people aged 12-24 years.

At RYC, we offer a safe and inclusive space for young individuals to drop in and get involved. Whether they need support, information, referrals, or access to a PC or Wi-Fi, our team members are always available during our operating hours to provide assistance.

Our vision is to foster a lifelong connection between young people and the community, where they feel engaged, encouraged, and empowered. To achieve this, we provide a supportive environment filled with diversity, fun, and comfort. Through our programs, workshops, and social, recreational, and educational opportunities, we aim to improve overall mindset and well-being.

Located on MacKinnon Street, RYC welcomes visitors from Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm daily. Our dedicated Youth Centre team is committed to addressing the social, emotional, psychological, and physical development of young individuals aged 12-24 years. Our Youth Workers are here to offer information, support, referral, and advocacy, as well as individual case management, groups, and programs.

Additionally, our Community Development Officers provide early intervention and prevention workshops, information sessions, forums, and community events in local education and community settings for young people aged 12-24.

We are proud to have the Rockingham Youth Reference Group (RYRG) as an integral part of our center. Comprised of young people aged 14-24 years, this group contributes to the success of RYC by providing input into programming, events, and advocacy. They act as a reference group on behalf of young people in Rockingham and across the City of Rockingham.

Joining RYRG offers members the opportunity to develop their advocacy and leadership skills, meet like-minded young individuals, gain an understanding of how local government operates, and enhance their event and project planning skills. Recruitment for new members occurs every two years, with a yearly review. For more information on joining the RYRG, please refer to the Role Statement below.
