In response to the current global situation, we are pleased to announce the launch of GP Telehealth consultations. Through the Healthdirect Video Call Platform, supported by the Australian Government Department of Health and most State Governments, you can now have virtual consultations with our doctors. This service is available to patients who live in remote areas and have seen Dr Patel three times in the last 12 months. If you meet the Medicare criteria, you will be bulk billed. For those who do not meet the criteria, a consultation fee of $49 will apply.

"My husband had to wait 7.5 hours yesterday to see a GP. Arrived before 8:30am and wasn't seen until close to 4pm. No phone appointments available and wasn't given the option to go home and come back. This hasn't been the first time but it will be the last as our family won't return again. I understand the need for appointments but if we are sick on the day and need a walk in, that should be accommodated for within an appropriate timeframe (not 8 hours). He was told a wait time of 2 hours FYI. Our entire family plus extended family have been coming to Heathlink for years so its very disappointing."
