"Great walk"
"I have always liked the feel of apex park, even well before the overhaul many years ago. Nothing better than enjoying your lunch under the canopy of the huge shade trees, and it never feels too hot. A little breeze from the river adds a cooling touch. You get to spot birds, turtles, fish and occasional snake. Just sit down and unwind, or jump in the water from the pontoons or makeshift rope swings. Toilets are up the ramp near the main road, so you can take your time, and there is a dog "off leash" compound towards the southern end (up river). See you down there sometime!"
"Took the dogs for a shady meander by the river, they loved it. Its got a tiny off leash area where you can park, with some river access but it had no shade and it was really overgrown along the river edge so we didn't go in. The dirt path is great, easy to traverse and lots of natural smells and textures for the dogs to enjoy as well as myself."
"Love Apex. Been going there for years. Always been beautiful but councill has upgraded facilities to be very family friendly. Leash free area needs work. Go regularly."
