Welcome to Peace Willow Therapy, located in the serene neighborhood of Edge Hill, Cairns. My name is Wendy Smith, and I am a dedicated counsellor and therapist who specializes in talk therapy, play therapy, and sandplay therapy.

For children, we offer play therapy, a unique approach that allows them to express themselves through play and toys. This therapeutic method provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can experience safety, build self-confidence, and learn to navigate problem behaviors. Our play therapy sessions are guided by the expertise of Dee Ray, an advanced play therapist.

In addition to talk therapy and play therapy, we also offer sandplay therapy. This nonverbal, therapeutic intervention uses a sandbox, toy figures, and sometimes water to create scenes of miniature worlds that reflect a person's inner thoughts, struggles, and concerns. Sandplay therapy provides a powerful avenue for self-expression and exploration.
