Welcome to Girl Guides Victoria Mittagong Campsite, located at 2A Rennie Street in Lara, Australia. Our campsite is a unique institution that offers a range of facilities for outdoor camping, as well as comfortable indoor accommodation at Campbell Cottage.

Campbell Cottage is well-appointed and provides a cozy retreat for our guests. With 28 beds, gas heating, and a fully equipped kitchen, it offers all the comforts of home. The cottage also features a first aid room with three beds and a small trundle, a leaders room with four beds, and four dormitory rooms with two bunk beds and a small trundle. Additionally, there are toilets and showers, as well as a separate bathroom for leaders. For those chilly nights, there are small brick fireplaces available for use in the cottage. We also have a disabled toilet, which is shared with the outdoor site, and a separate recreational shed that is shared as well.

Our campsite boasts two established campsites, complete with wood supplied on-site, portable stoves, and all the necessary equipment. We provide canvas for your convenience, and there is access to town water. You are welcome to bring your own camp stoves or coppers to ensure your camping experience is just right, no matter the weather. The large activities shed, separate from the Cottage, offers a wood-burning heater and ample space for various activities.

Located close to the center of Lara, our campsite is conveniently situated near shops and amenities. There are also several attractions in the surrounding area, including the Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, You Yangs Regional Park, Fairy Park in Anakie, Lara Swimming Pool, Geelong District Beaches, the Wool Museum in Geelong, and the Steampacket.

For those traveling by public transport, the Lara Railway Station is just a five-minute walk away, providing easy access from Melbourne and Geelong. There is also a GTS bus stop right at our front gate.
