"Awsome, and some tracks were full on"
"Close to Brisbane with some great 4x4 tracks with excellent views at the top of the ridge lines. Day pass not too expensive and camping looks fantastic (and is 2wd accessible) Their map leaves something to be desired and I’d question whether ‘easy’ rated tracks are in fact easy. I wouldn’t want to attempt in a vehicle that didn’t have a suspension lift and bigger tyres."
"Went out to Swan Gully for a 2 nights ( Friday night and Saturday night). We arrived after the office closed on Friday, Deb met us on the way in gave us a map and said we can fix it all up in the morning. We stayed at site 1 ( the pick of the bunch I reckon.) The drive in 100% requires a 4x4 ( that’s the reason we went). No amenities at site 1 but that’s what camping is anout. We were very amateur 4x4 drives and found the green tracks fun. Had a great weekend. Will be back"
"Met friends there that had camped the night. We just went for the day to check the place out. Wow, passed 50 cows on the way in who gracefully moved out of our way. What a change from the city atmosphere. As we wound into the property taking in the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife we began to relax and saw several great spots to camp for next time. We paid at the office and were given some advice by the owner as to which tracks to take. If you like 4wding but not too full on, stick to the green tracks!! After some very steep accents we were presented with stunning 360 views and a good dose of adrenalin. If you are very experienced and have at least one locker and a winch and a second car to help out I would suggest trying the yellow tracks. But be warned they are proper off camber steep, rocky tracks that can catch you out. Awesome right? Black tracks are for comp trucks and crazy people. I'll be back to camp with the kids. Saw lots of wallabies, birds of prey, cows, a beautiful king fisher, goanna, hundreds of tiny birds singing near 21. So much serenity......"
"We had some fun on the tracks but didn't enjoy the camping. In the valley there are nice open grassy areas for camping but we prefer to be private and away from other people. Unfortunately the ridge camping sites we went up to, which were more private were hard to find, small, overgrown and right next to the 4x4 tracks. The views from the ridge are incredible though! The tracks were fun but the map was a bit hard to follow and the easy tracks were def not easy in places - we were on our own and it def got hairy in places! I also had a close call with a snake while spotting the 4wd on the tracks- eep! Additionally the biogas plant close by starts its generators at night and the noise coming up the ridge was insane - woke both my husband and I up several times through the night. Not what you want when escaping to the bush. In summary come here for the 4x4 tracks not the camping."
