No prior booking needed, you go pay and they take you to dune in 4 wheel vehicle. Sand boarding was a really awesome experience. I sand boarded until I became so exhausted. "A must try when you’re in the area! Crazy amount of fun sand boarding in the sand dunes and really lovely sights. Sand boarding is easy to pickup and you can do it sitting or standing. Do remember to bring your water bottles along! A great experience!"
