About the Business
Welcome to Campbell Cottage Child Care Centre, a beloved establishment located at 8 Savige Street in Campbell, Australia. As a prominent point of interest in the Campbell community, we are proud to offer exceptional education and care for children aged six weeks to five years.
At Campbell Cottage, our program is centered around the needs and interests of each individual child. We believe in empowering children by involving them in decision making, based on their unique strengths, interests, and developmental milestones. Our learning spaces are thoughtfully designed to reflect each child's interests, and we incorporate their learning goals into the layout of our environment.
By choosing Campbell Cottage, you are not only providing your child with quality education and care, but you are also supporting our community activities. Your involvement helps us fund important programs such as housing initiatives, community development, youth engagement, and education to prevent domestic and family violence.
Enrolling your child is simple. Just complete the YWCA Canberra – Campbell Cottage Centre 2023 Enrolment Form. To learn more about our offerings and fee structure, please visit our website.
Our team of professional educators is dedicated to building strong and meaningful relationships with each child and family at Campbell Cottage. We are a diverse group of leaders and learners who are passionate about early childhood education. With our varied backgrounds, knowledge, cultures, and life experiences, we strive to be positive role models and educators who support and promote children's learning.
Meet our wonderful director, Sanny, who hails from Thailand and has been in Australia since 2007. Inspired by the positive impact of early childhood education on her own daughter, Sanny joined the early childhood sector in 2010. Since September 2019, she has been an integral part of the Campbell Cottage family, building nurturing relationships with the children, families, and educators.
Sanny firmly believes that every child deserves a strong educational foundation from the very beginning. She sees children as curious, resilient, and capable learners who find wonder in exploration.
Our outdoor gardens and play spaces are separate yet interconnected, offering plenty of shaded areas for children to learn, play, and explore. With beautiful established trees and vegetable and herb gardens, we create opportunities for children to connect with nature and learn about sustainability. Rain or shine, we practice all-weather play to ensure children can enjoy the outdoors.
Indoors, our learning spaces exude a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each child's unique personality is reflected in their learning environment, fostering a strong connection to the broader community. Our educational setup encourages structured mixed-aged learning experiences, allowing siblings to interact and giving children the chance to learn from those outside their age group. Older children develop nurturing behaviors, while younger ones enhance their social skills, language development, and confidence.
At Campbell Cottage, we embrace progressive routines that offer children more choice and flexibility. This approach creates happy and calm environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
YWCA Canberra, our parent organization, cares for around 3000 children each week through our children's services. By choosing Campbell Cottage, you are becoming part of a larger community that is committed to providing the best possible care and education for children.
Join us at Campbell Cottage Child Care Centre and experience the difference of our child-led, child-focused approach. Enroll your child today and let them embark on a journey of discovery, growth, and learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

"We love it here, both my kids have attended here and we were initially drawn to the big baby space and caring educators. Now my daughter is in the preschool room and the new playground is fantastic. There has been some staff turnover in the 3.5 years we have been here (but you would expect that anywhere) - we have always found the educators to be very caring, attentive and supportive of each other. Thank you Campbell Cottage team! ❤️"
"Very happy with the care my daughter receives, and the opportunities for her to play and learn"
"worked here several years ago but i’ve heard from parents/staff not much has changed since i left so thought i’d leave a review. no resources, bullying is rampant and children are not always respected unless they are deemed a cool child (and especially nap time can be stressful if you don’t do as you’re told!). i once saw a staff member feed a vegetarian baby meat and they said it didn’t matter because babies need meat to grow. one time i had to work on the weekend unpaid for a whole day in the sun making play equipment out of delivery pallets for the children to get splinters from and was told if i did not attend i would lose my job. could say more but they might investigated :-)"
"The childcare ( atleast the nursery ) is very basic at its best. Some staff are nice but I had a dull experience. I expected the staff at the nursery to be vibrant and very interactive with little children but it was quite the opposite. Toys are very very limited but food was good."
"Love having my daughter here. Educators are fantastic and the space is great!"
