Welcome to Calwell Early Childhood Centre, located at 16 Webber Crescent in Calwell, Australia. Our establishment is a licensed centre that caters to 67 children, offering both part-time and full-time care options.

At our centre, we understand the importance of ensuring a smooth transition for both you and your child. We encourage you to spend time here with your child before leaving them in our care. You are welcome to spend as much or as little time as you need, and we are here to answer any questions you may have in person, over the phone, or via email. Your peace of mind is our top priority, and our goal is for you to feel relaxed and confident when leaving your child with us.

We believe in creating a calm and unhurried routine, which allows your child to feel calm as well. Take the time to sign in, put away your child's belongings, and settle them into an activity. Before leaving, give your child prior warning that you will be leaving soon, and always say goodbye, reassuring them that you will be back to pick them up after work. This helps build trust between your child and our educators.

If you ever have any worries or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at any time during the day. We will also contact you if your child becomes upset or if anything unusual happens.

When you come to pick up your child, take a moment to talk to our staff, who will provide you with updates on how your child has been throughout the day. Our day book will also give you information about their activities, sleep times, and meals. Engage with your child about their day, asking them about the people they met and the activities they enjoyed. Encourage them to show you what they have been doing.

In the following days, your child may find it easier to settle on some days than others. It's important to communicate with our staff about any events happening in your child's life, such as sleeping or eating patterns, or what they did over the weekend. This information helps us have a better understanding of your child's overall well-being.

We recommend using a small to medium-sized backpack to keep all your child's belongings together.

At Anglicare centres, we provide all food requirements and nappies for your child's day. We use disposable nappies and Sudocream. Our centres are allergy-aware, and we will inform you of any specific foods or medications that cannot be brought to the centre.
