We are currently seeking a trainee Zamboni Driver / Ice Technician to join our team. If you have a background or knowledge in ice skating and hold a current First Aid Certificate, we would love to hear from you. Training in Zamboni operation and skate sharpening will be provided to the successful applicant. For more information, please contact us on weekdays at 0419486184 or 6282 1660.
In addition to our swimming and ice skating activities, we are also looking for a Cleaner / Handy Person to join our team on weekdays. If you are reliable and have a knack for keeping things tidy, we would love to have you on board.
For those looking to enjoy a day of ice skating, walk-ins are always welcome. Please refer to our ice skating session times for more information. Single entry tickets can be purchased at the door, so there's no need to book in advance.
If you're interested in enrolling your child in our children's classes, our Term Four 2023 series will commence on Saturday, 14th October 2023. Online bookings will be available from 25th September 2023 on bookings.swimskate.com.au or through the 'Get Tickets' link on our homepage. We are also excited to announce a new group class on Thursdays from 4.00 - 5.00pm, starting on Thursday, 12th October 2023. Online enrolment will be available from 25th September 2023.
For adults looking to improve their skating skills, we offer group lessons every Monday evening from 6.45 till 7.45. Registration begins at 6.15pm, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot.
Attention ACT-based university students! Take advantage of our CHEAPSKATES ACT University Student Special from March to November 2023. Every Thursday night from 8PM to 10PM, present your student ID and skate for only $20, including skate hire.

"Sure it might not have some of the facilities of other pools but for what it lacks in features it makes up for perfectly maintained water, excellent sized intermediate pool (you just got to try it) and an exceptionally friendly staff. Plenty of grassy shade too and reasonable entry prices. Andrew Barr and his colleagues maybe have given the facility the cold shoulder but the staff and owners at Philip Pool have certainly managed to learn how to keep it all running nicely on a shoestring."
"What better combo than swimming and ice? The Ice skating is super fun if you are feeling adventurous! If skating not your thing during the winter the centre is home of the Canberra Brave, if you haven't seen ice hockey before it's well worth it! Though make sure you get there a bit early if you want a decent seat. During games food and drinks (including alcohol) are available."
