"basically... I took my diamond new platinum engagement ring to be resized at Sunshine Jewellery 1. He used white gold 2. He left solder on the inside of the ring 3. He left polish on the ring 4. The join was unusually visible (it is common to see a join on a resized platinum ring but this was exceptional) 5. The outer ring was lumpy & misshapen (the band now had very thin sides & a very thick bottom) 6. The inside was unpolished 7. The stone was LOOSE 8. He advised me he was the only same day service in Adelaide. ALL of Adelaide. 9. He insisted I take a $100 refund for my $45 botch job (pretty cool - saved him from a "I hated it" rating) His customer service was smooth - too bad his platinum skills weren't. I have since had the ring fixed & the white gold cut out, same day service - only $40...."
