"Disappointing visit. I have had to go to urgent care before and have been very happy with the care provided. The doctor today was dismissive of my daughter’s issue. No physical exam. Offered no advice without prompting. No empathy or care shown."
"I took my 3 year old daughter in as she had hurt her hand at kindy. Can I just say they were so fantastic! I didn’t even finish filling out the form & they brought us straight in. They were so gentle & kind with my daughter. It was the best experience in a medical centre with my daughter so far! Thank you so much. One happy Mama!"
"Went with my 2 yo as he was very lethargic, had a high fever for days which wasn’t going down with Panadol. I had to wait hours only for the doctor to give him a hydralyte (which my son wouldn’t eat as he was very lethargic) and say that was a viral infection (no swab taken, no blood test, nothing just an hydralyte). I left as no one was taking it seriously. I went to the hospital and he was admitted after being tested positive on a blood culture for sepsis and also tested positive for three different viruses. He is now on IV antibiotic at the hospital. Luckily I didn’t listen to the doctor at the urgent care that said just give him some water and rest!"
"Working for Department of Health and having visited Urgent Care Cockburn since they opened, I was very disappointed with the service provided by the Doctor at the Midland Clinic. I was very unwell, no tests run just standard blood pressure and temperature taken. I was told if symptoms got worse to go to Emergency which I did. I note on documentation that if referred to Emergency there would be no charge, but it sounds like most patients end up in Emergency after being charged. Cockburn always provided such a high level of care with all tests conducted and a diagnosis given. I believe Urgent Care is provided to alleviate Emergency Departments, however this is not happening at Midland Urgent Care after my experience."
