The story of Flaming Peacock began over three decades ago, when our passionate founder discovered his love for food and embarked on a journey to master the art of cooking. Throughout his travels, cooking remained at the core of his heart, driving him to constantly push himself and explore new culinary horizons.
However, amidst the modern culinary trends, the simplicity of food seemed to be forgotten. "We've tried burgers, pasta, grilled fish and steak and we've loved all of them. The burgers in particular, excellent quality at a reasonable price. Some things that could be better- often there are a number of menu items that are unavailable when we order. Also, the place looks closed even if they're open. Dark tinted glass walls and one open door hidden by trees. It's lovely inside but I think most people passing would think it's closed. But overall, great value with nice, friendly service. Been here multiple times and will come again!"
"I've eaten here a few times now and will continue to go back to work through the very well put together menu. The quality of their meat is top notch, cooked to order and accompanied by sides that are as fresh as can be. There's a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff are keen to make sure you enjoy the experience and are very friendly and helpful. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed the scotch fillet, pork rib eye, lamb rump steaks and lamb ribs. This is a great addition to the neighbourhood."
"We ordered Chicken Parmi and Grilled Scotch Fillet for dinner. The food came out pretty fast and tasted amazing, though the steak was a bit salted to me. They have huge menu so I'll defo come back and try other things. Staffs were friendly. I like the atmosphere there as well as the music. Definitely recommend!"
"Went here for lunch. It seems to be a new place. Staff are under training. It is a cafe/casual restaurant. There are outdoor and indoor tables, as well as couches and coffee tables. We sat by a table near the open doors, it was still quite hot from the outside heat. Some ceiling fans would be a good addition to help keep the inside cool, or shutting the doors. You order at the counter or take the menu away to your table, then order at counter. There is a breakfast/lunch and a dinner menu, we got confused as we were looking at the dinner menu the whole time. Perhaps the distinction could be more clear. We arrived around lunchtime and they were out of some items. There were about 15 other people in the restaurant at the time, so I guess they ordered those meals hence why they ran out. We ordered our meals, chicken snitzel and Steak. Both came with a side of chips, salad and sauce. Took about 20 mins to cook. Steak was asked to be well done and it was. The chicken had a soft crunch coating. Food was good, we both finished our plates, except for my salad. I found the lettuce to be bitter. I think a mesculin salad mix would be a better option than iceberg lettuce. The chips are almost like KFC type chips, soft and floppy. The smaller chips were crunchy. The gravy almost tasted like KFC gravy too. The chicken "taste good". You also get a free soft drink with every meal. Total cost of $45 for the 2 meals. We live locally so we will try more dishes in the future. I recommend trying this place."
