"Cool atmosphere and pub vibes. Obviously as the name suggests the pub is focused around European beers. Went here to watch the Matilda’s play and got a seat in the beer garden. Ordered some snacks including the anchovies, which were lovely if you like anchovies. Worth a visit if you are in Perth."
"Came here for dinner and chill .... Big space cafe I must say. The staff are friendly... Ordered the mussels and waffles for dinner and they were yummy. There's a good selection of Belgian beer on tap (including La Trappe). There's also a backyard area where you can dine in a rustic atmosphere with natural light. Overall, it was a pleasant dining!"
"My recent experiences at this place have been inconsistent, and it's definitely not what it used to be. In the pre-pandemic days, it was always one of my go-to places in Perth. However, since then, a lot has changed, particularly when it comes to the food quality. I visited on a quiet Monday evening with only few other guests in the placd. I ordered the chili calamari and mussels in white wine sauce. Both dishes were OK, although the calamari was a bit soft (not crispy as expected). Disappointingly, when I decided to have dessert after finishing my meal around 8 pm, I was informed that the kitchen had just closed. I decided to give the place another go and returned on Thursday night, which happened to be much busier like most places in Perth. This time, I ordered the mussels in tomato sauce along with their Belgium-style fries. The food was served while I was at the bar to get another beer. Which wouldn't have taken more then 5 minutes at the most. Unfortunately, the chips were a major letdown. They were nowhere near the quality of the delicious Belgium-style fries they used to serve. Instead, they resembled average pub chips, slightly salty with numerous small and broken pieces, and about a third of them were overly brown. I only ate a few, and the rest remained untouched. Now, about the mussels. Despite ordering them with tomato sauce, I received the white wine sauce again. Moreover, unlike the steaming hot mussels I had on Monday, this time they were almost cold. The bread accompanying the mussels was so hard and brown that it seemed to have been toasted twice. Interestingly, the mussels served to the table next to mine and later to a table opposite me were piping hot, with steam still rising from them for quite some time. This suggests that the temperature of my mussels couldn't be attributed to the few minutes I spent at the bar getting a second beer. It's purely speculative, but to me it seems likely that my order, with its incorrect sauce and over-toasted bread, had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. However, I managed to finish the evening with a decent waffle and ice cream for dessert. Overall, I would rate my experience on Thursday night a 2 out of 5, and considering the entire week, I would give it a 3 out of 5. I won't be returning for a while, especially not for food, as there are plenty of other options available."
"Always love the cherry beer. Great value of mussels with chips and Stella . Rib eye cooked perfectly with hand cut chips Happy days"
