About the Business
Welcome to the Yulu-Burri-Ba Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health! Located in Dunwich, Dickson Way, 16, our establishment is a community-controlled health service that provides primary health care and associated health services to the community of North Stradbroke Island and Brisbane’s Bayside suburbs.
At Yulu-Burri-Ba, our goal is to be a leader in providing a community-controlled Primary and Social Well-Being Health Service. We are dedicated to improving the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through holistic and preventative approaches to health. Our aim is to deliver quality Primary and Social Well-Being Health programs in a culturally safe and sensitive manner, specifically designed to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Quandamooka Region.
The name Yulu-Burri-Ba holds great significance. It comes from a time when the Aboriginal people of North Stradbroke Island and Moreton Island were referred to as Yoolooburrabee or the people of the sand and the sea by the Aboriginal tribes of the mainland.
At Yulu-Burri-Ba, we provide a culturally safe and comprehensive range of bulk-billed medical services. Our focus is on enhancing the overall health and wellbeing of our clients, and we offer various health service programs to achieve this goal. Additionally, we have visiting medical services that further contribute to the wellbeing of our clients.
Our Social Health Family Wellbeing program, known as 'Jajum Bajara,' is based on the internationally recognized and evidence-based Birthing in our Community (BIOC) model of care. We also have the Kinship & Foster Care Program, which recruits, teaches, reviews, and supports Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander carers.
For our younger community members, we have an exciting Easter vacation care program designed for those aged 12-25 years. Our programs aim to promote a sense of belonging, connection to culture and community, and provide a safe space – physically, spiritually, and emotionally for our youth.
We are currently seeking a fastidious cleaning specialist who will exceed our expectations in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. This role includes ensuring that all bathrooms are sparkling, floors are spotless, and rubbish is removed on schedule.
Join us on Wednesday 8 March 2023 at YBB Capalaba for a morning tea to acknowledge and celebrate the deadly women that surround us, from the past, present, and those to come.
Yulu-Burri-Ba Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health acknowledges the Quandamooka people as the traditional custodians of the lands and seas where we work. We also pay respects to Elders, past, present, and future.
Visit us and experience the culturally safe and comprehensive services provided by Yulu-Burri-Ba Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health. Together, let's improve the health and wellbeing of our community.

"Very thorough, never rush you, bulk bill, friendly staff."
"I've always found doctors to be exceptional & very thorough. Staff are always helpful & I don't think you can find a better service . Patient for over 20yrs."
"Been a patient for 10 years.... Great place if you want to be used/farmed for Medicare funding your entire life and never have proper clinical examination. Soon as you complain formally they dont want you as a patient anymore."
"Wouldn't go somewhere that pushes pregnant women in their third trimester to get a vaccine that has 5 times more chance of spontaneous stillbirth than dying from the virus.."
