In Australia, psychologists undergo six years of full-time study to be eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Once registered, psychologists are usually eligible for a Medicare provider number, which allows clients with a Mental Health Care Plan to be Bulk Billed or claim rebates for psychological services.
