"Great spot for a picnic with a view back to the city. There are BBQ facilities, a kids playground, fenced dog offleash area nearby and plenty of shade. There is also stairs leading down to a sandbar along the Brisbane river."
"Captain Burke park is a beautiful place to spent your evenings. There’s a play area for the kids with lots of rides, meanwhile you can enjoy a bbq at the bbq station. The place is well maintained and clean. It would be nice to enjoy a picnic here. For people who love walking/ jogging, there’s a track around the park where you could exercise. The view of the story bridge from the park is breathtaking. You could also catch a ferry from the corner of the park to the other side of the river. The trees are decorated and lit at night which just brings up your mood."
"This is an amazing place to sit and eat and admire the sights of this great recreational area so close to City and on the river. There is also the possibility to sit on the sand beach and take in the sun. I highly recommend this park either for a family day out or a barbeque meal or even just sit and enjoy the sights."
