Welcome to Highgate Early Childhood Centre, located in the beautiful suburb of Ashburton, Australia. As a community-based, not-for-profit childcare centre, Highgate Early Childhood Centre (HELC) is dedicated to providing a nurturing and connected environment for children, parents, and staff.

At Highgate, we place a strong emphasis on community, setting us apart from privately-run centres. Our motto, "Where the community spirit shines," encapsulates the essence of our centre. Our logo symbolizes the journey of children's growth from infancy to preschool age, as they establish roots within the community and blossom into their unique selves. The four stars represent the four levels of care we offer, reflecting the progression of children as we guide and support them in their development. Our goal is to inspire curiosity, creativity, enthusiasm, imagination, and a love of learning in every child.

Highgate Early Childhood Centre also acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we operate – the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We deeply respect the Elders, both past and present, and recognize their ongoing spiritual connection to culture, land, water, and community.
