Particularly for recurring, persistent, or unclear issues, we recognize that these may have roots in past developmental experiences, often requiring careful exploration in medium to long-term therapy. Therefore, we highly recommend an initial consultation to establish a sense of rapport, assess your needs, and develop an early understanding of your concerns as we consider embarking on this therapeutic journey together.

We acknowledge that therapy is a commitment shared by both the therapist and the patient, which is why we offer the option to reserve a regular appointment time. By doing so, we ensure that the therapeutic space is exclusively dedicated to you, providing a safe haven for your emotions. Within this unique space, we attentively listen and observe your internal world, external world, and relational dynamics with others. Through the transformative power of ongoing therapeutic conversations, we uncover insights that lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Our initial consultation is designed to assess your needs, gain an early understanding of the issues that have led you to seek therapy, and explore how we can work together. Each consultation lasts for 50 minutes, and the frequency and number of sessions will be determined based on your specific needs and therapy approach. Typically, sessions are scheduled at least once a week, but more intensive therapy may involve multiple sessions per week. Upon mutual agreement, session times are reserved exclusively for you when embarking on a course of therapy.

Please note that we may offer a reduced fee in certain circumstances, and for after-hours, weekend, or public holiday appointments, a surcharge may be applied. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, psychiatrist, or pediatrician, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Additional rebates may also be available through private health insurers.
