Welcome to Alphington Childcare Centre | Journey Early Learning! Located at 94 Grange Road in Alphington, Australia, our warm and homely early learning centre is designed to inspire adventure and joy in your little explorer. We believe in the power of play-based learning, where children can get messy, dig in the dirt, and play in our beautiful gardens.

At Journey Alphington, our play spaces are designed to encourage children to work together with their friends, conquering milestones with confidence. We believe in pushing boundaries and helping children achieve different outcomes, fostering their growth and development.

We are not only committed to inspiring our little adventurers but also supporting the local community. That's why we have developed special relationships with organizations like Kiddy Rock, a music and art collective that creates and plays music. We also offer programs like Kelly Sports and Kinja Gym, which help our three to five year olds with balance, movement, and coordination. Additionally, we conduct weekly yoga classes for all age groups, promoting mindfulness meditation and challenging coordination skills. Our four year olds also get to experience regular bush kinder excursions, immersing themselves in nature-based play in the local parklands.

Transitioning to school is a major focus for us, and we work hard to ensure a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self for their school journey ahead. Our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators, our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms provide ongoing support to prepare children for school through our School Readiness Program.

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Bhavna, the Centre Manager of Journey Alphington. With a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care from Hammond Institute and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Monash University, I am a dedicated and experienced educator and leader in the Early Childhood sector. I am passionate about providing children with the best quality start in life and education.

I love spending time with the children and learning from them. Alongside my team, I strive to build warm, respectful, and trusting relationships with the children, as well as work collaboratively with families, staff, and communities to provide high-quality education and care that best supports the children during their early years.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking different types of meals. I also love listening to music, watching the news and cooking shows, and regularly practicing Yoga and going to the gym.

At Alphington Childcare Centre | Journey Early Learning, we believe that nature is the greatest teacher. That's why nature-based play is a core part of our curriculum. It teaches children vital life skills such as confidence, independence, exploration, and cooperation.
