"Everything went smoothly, both picking the vehicle up and delivering it back at the end of the hire. Just the slight surprise at being given a totally different car to the one I'd booked on-line (and no prior warning). This shouldn't have been an issue apart from the battery going flat just before the return journey. Apart from that it was a decent car to drive."
"DO NOT HIRE A VEHICLE FROM HERE. Didn’t get my $500 bond back. I was given an unroadworthy truck which I was unaware of at the time of pickup. I was also told I was given a ‘new’ truck only to find it had 90,000kms on the clock. I only used the truck twice the day I hired it and the truck could barely reach 90kms an hour and the transmission was playing up the whole time I had it. I was told that someone cut the transmission hose on the truck I hired when it was in my possession. I asked for proof & previous vehicle service history and I’ve been flat out ignored by the manager Andrew every time I’ve called over the past 3 weeks. They also sent me an invoice for the supposed damage I did which was an additional $600 - which also had repairs for another truck in their fleet on it which I had nothing to do with. I have called over 20 times in the past month and still haven’t been provided any information. Furthermore, I was not informed that the rental car company location was prone to vandalism, which puts into question the safety and reliability of the vehicles available for rental. Do not trust ANYONE that works here. Wouldn’t usually write a review like this but without any updates over the past month I’m not happy at all. I strongly advise against renting from this company. The lack of transparency and disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable."
"Super disappointed with Europcar Frankston. I needed a car for one day, which I was able to book via the Europecar website, only to be told by staff at the Frankston location that I couldn’t actually have the car unless I booked for a minimum of 3 days. Clinton the staff member was nice and tried to explain that the minimum of 3 days bookings was a management decision that was out of his control - but that still didn’t help me or explain why I could book the car online but not actually have it… very disappointed. Would not recommend dealing with Europcar Frankston."
