"My family and I thank you all so much Dr Thai for your exceptional care. That's the only reason why I can think of an old lady (the Doctor) and her staff would be willing to work until 1 AM ( Not for money) to see a patient on a weekday. Please, no more culture complaint if you are looking for a more than qualified surgeon - Dr Thai is 1000% the right individual in our book! It is worth the wait at the queue. Most of the time you will need to wait very long because the Dr always takes meticulous care of every single patient. As a patient, some of you even expect “customer service”. Flmao! Patients can be construed as consumers only if they are operating within a market. But HEALTH CARE is not a market in the usual way that markets are defined, and thus patients do not have the power that consumers have to shape that market. Stop complaining and internet trolling, stop silly discussion threads with inflammatory remarks. Bear in mind that: Patients are not consumers. Just because doctors and their admin staff act as “a service”you can use, doesn’t mean they are your slaves or even your subordinates. I think people should allow a half day for going to to the doctor. Bring a book and relax. Doctor may have had to spend 45 minutes with a patient telling her she had cancer, or that her baby is dead. Or, I may have been 2 hours late because the lady who was in labor took 3 hours to push the baby out. Or that some other patient had a completely unexpected problem and needed a ton of treatment and/or explanation. What do you want, high quality or fast service? IF the latter is more important, find a new doctor."
"Receptionist is willing to call you back and scold you because you asking them questions. A patient should not ask any questions except obey to the receptionist. He acts so entitled. You seem like facing some issues in your life that may cause you put your anger to your patients. Very long wait! Everyone who visited this clinic would be agree. The Dr was good but not worth the wait. Cash only if you do not have medicare."
"Great and professional service. The doctor her is very lovely. You should call before you come if you don’t want to wait too long. Most of the time you will need to wait very long because the Dr always takes meticulous care of every single patient."
"I had a bad experience in this clinic, I waited for more than 1 hour but the doctor examined many other patients by phone first. They had an appointment after me because I heard them calling to make an appointment. After more than an hour of waiting, a couple went straight to the doctor's room and was examined before me. My newborn baby 2 months was waiting in the car with dad at 11:45 pm and I gave up."
"Dr Thai is a dedicated, highly knowledgeable and very attentive doctor who makes sure you are given all the time necessary for proper assessment and care, unlike the majority of GP's who watch the clock and try to rush you out like a factory line. Of course, great patient care goes hand in hand with longer consultation for the patients and wait time for those waiting outside but you know when it's your turn to be seen you'll get the best service possible. For those complaining about the poor wait time, sure they can do better to improve on communicating more accurate wait time but this should not take away how good a doctor she is. For those who think she in it for money - seriously, if that's the case there would be many family owned medical clinics opening up to midnight and a bit beyond but no, so far in my 40 odd year experience she is the only one who's opened that late. And to top it off, she's 75 years old and could very easily sit back and enjoy her retirement and fruits of her labour but yet this grandmother is going strong to serve her community to midnight most nights and also volunteer her time and knowledge to educate her community on a radio station. And to those who thinks you're getting substandard service because you're not Vietnamese, you are undermining the professionalism of her and her staff as all the things I pointed out above demonstrate their dedication to patient care, regardless of who you are. But I don't doubt extra help is provided to those who cannot speak English as they are probably missing out on a lot of information and consequently access to care/services available out there. I took my elderly mother there and despite having to wait for 45 minutes, we were very happy with the level of care my mother received and I was very confident and comforted by her knowledge - both in English and Vietnamese she was very succinct and educational to empower us to help us look after my mother better! To sum, if you are the busy type and want fast and in out service, this clinic is probably not for you but if you're willing to wait and value expertise and great patient care who doesn't look at the clock or is money hungry then Dr Thai is second to none! So happy I've found a gem of a doctor after so many years and will be taking my family there in future."
