Reviews
"A simply beautiful walk from the carpark down the beach. Soothing sounds of the waves and nice views of the water"
"Fairly long deep descent to Somers Beach with a wide landing Lookout with a bench. Sheltered from sun by overhanging trees & shrubs. On the hot day of my visit late last year - there was a handwritten note about a snake spotted in the area.. Located across from the popular Somers General store & cafe, opposite car park entry."
"A lovely walk amongst the bushes and onto the foreshore. Some steps, but overall an easy walk."
"Wooden decking walkway down to the narrow Somers beach. About halfway down it changes to shallow, very wide, 1.5 metre deep steps for the final descent to the lovely beach. The final, ground level approach to the narrow, sandy Foreshore is very soft sand. About 50 metres in from the top, the walkway widens to a gorgeous lookout onto the beach, Westernport Bay and Philip Island in the distance. There is a small wooden bench to sit and enjoy the view. The beach/Foreshore area is extremely popular, mostly for locals as it's very sheltered, lots of shady trees and generally calm water that only gradually gets deeper. So great for kids to splash around in. This is NOT a patrolled beach so be careful. Dogs on leash are allowed only at restricted times. The top of the entrance walkway has a small carpark which is frequently jam packed and a general store that is popular for snacks, drinks etc."
