"Lots of small car parks are available around this site. The walking trails have some great views. Down by the creek is very pleasant, not too steep a walk. The walking trails are rough so be careful."
"Good short trails"
"A beautiful place to explore also know as ‘Melton Mallee’ Long Forest is the only area of Bull Mallee (Eucalyptus behrianna) woodland - south of the Dividing ranges. The area is listed as a threatened community so please treat the area with care. (pick up your rubbish). Fantastic for Bird Watching and day walks- there are no toilets."
"Great hike, lots of variety of paths to walk on. Gravel, grass and rock. No seriously rock climbing or any river crossing. A few semi steep inclines and declines. Great all rounder of a hike"
"Yes one of the beautiful places you can visit in Victoria. Close to Bacchus Marsh this tucked away forest is definitely worth a visit if you appreciate unspoiled native bush lands. Although there are houses nestled in this forest it has been done in a way where the bush lands have been given priority. Plenty of walking tracks so bring water and maybe even a snack. Pets need to be on leads as the forest is dense and impossible to get through if you were to wonder of the marked trails. No camping grounds and definitely not the place for a caravan."
