"My partner and I loved our experience at Clam Bar! After reading many reviews about the cheeseburger, I can confirm that it definitely does live up to the hype - the burger sauce, patty, cheese are each all so delicious, the thick cut slice of bacon was great too although not sure if it was necessary. The gratin of the Scallops casino was the perfect texture with the right combination of rich flavour profiles, we loved it. We also had the New York Strip steak, which was cooked perfectly to our request of medium rare, and a side of fries which were delicious. The sturgeon caviar was great as well - I loved the amount of Bellinis that accompanied it - not too little and not too much, the perfect amount that allowed you to be indulgent with each serving of caviar. The cocktails were absolutely amazing as well, although I didn’t get a photo of them. To finish we had the Maple Syrup Pudding which was divine. Overall fantastic experience at Clam Bar, I look forward to returning. :)"
"Such a great dining experience at Clam Bar! We ordered the clam pasta, burger, NY strip with Bernaise sauce, corn gratin and the macaroni alla vodka - was a bit too much between two people but we are glad we got to try these as everything was delicious and we were struggling to cut items! Highlights were the pasta and burger!! Will definitely be back"
"Absolutely delicious! The calamari and whole lobster were outstanding. The sides are also incredibly thoughtful, don’t skip the macaroni or velvet salad. Staff were all lovely. Great ambience."
"Brass and glass is a slick entry to this Sydney harbour mollusk Mecca and the retro vibes set us immediately in the martini mood. The scene continues with old school Rockerfeller oysters & Scallop Casino, two of my fav menu items from our lunch. Cesar salad has a modern twist and is delightful. Empanadas are vegetarian and lack no substance or flavour. As fries already ordered with our coral trout we got Clam linguini instead, need to load the clams hrrr I guess. For our cheesy satisfaction we got corn and Gruyère gratin. Excellent lunch, only standout due to plane ness would be the anchovy toast. A can of Ortiz with toast is even perfectly acceptable , just that the snack repertoire from sibling venues Bistroit 916 and Pellegrino 2000 can mind bend a little in a good way, toast and a tin does not. Great lunch, I had an appointment and had to leave before dessert and I heard dessert are the best part !"
"A meal of two tales. Went in hoping for amazing because the price point sets lofty expectations but still realising the venue was in its first two weeks of trade. The cheeseburger was amazing. The thick cut bacon unnecessary and a mandatory inclusion - but the cheeseburger itself new flawless for me. Best ive had in Sydney's CBD. Just knock the bacon off the price and I'm a happy chappy. We ordered the porterhouse steak medium rare to share between three. It came out overcooked. We told two different floor staff it was overcooked with visible displeasure. Still perfectly edible, but not how we ordered it. Kind of like getting a house built but not the designs you asked for. I mean it's still a house. Just not what you paid for. So not sure if it's lack of FOH training or general lack of accountability across the business in general, because the socials wouldn't acknowledge or respond to it either, but purely for the cheeseburger its worth going atleast once!"
