"My previous mechanic had ok reviews, but refused to add a tyre rotation to the hour's labour just because i forgot to ask when i 1st called and saying we already agreed to the price of labour for the rocker cover gasket which i supplied, however i know a tyre rotation added would not go over 1 hour! Barra mechanical was close and all 5 star reviews. I was able to drop my car off the night before and key in a drop box. I was also able to pay over the phone. Any instructions and/or questions i had, he had no problem talking about with as much time as was needed. Advised potential future (non dangerous) repairs, but did not push them to be repaired until needed to. I have been to cheaper places though that are still good quality."

"Been a few times now for general service and for specific repairs for my European import. Quite impressed with how quickly issues are diagnosed and repaired even though mine is not a common car. They've had to research a few things but have always worked it out. You wouldn't necessarily know it just by looking at the workshop but these guys really know what they are doing (the workshop always being full is a good sign). Fantastic that I can choose from genuine manufacturer parts or equivalent quality (but far cheaper) aftermarket parts. They gave good advice on which way to go. Saved me $100's on my brakes and even simple savings like not having to pay $80-$100 for wiper blades like my dealership service used to charge. Does a full service with modern diagnostics but also all the good old-fashioned checks like finding random nails in your tyres. Happy to have found a good mechanic that gives good advice and doesn't rip you off. Highly recommended."
