About the Business
Welcome to Dandenong Day Nursery, located in the beautiful suburb of Dandenong North on Brunet Street. As an established institution and point of interest in the area, we have been proudly serving our community since 1976. Situated on Bunurong Country, we acknowledge and respect the traditional owners of the land, both past and present.
At Dandenong Day Nursery, we prioritize creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and families. Our experienced team of educators and teachers are dedicated to ensuring a positive start to your child's care and education journey. We understand the importance of supporting your child's love for learning and believe that their earliest development and learning experiences are shaped through their relationships with family, community, culture, and place.
Through play-based learning, we provide a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on communication and language, early literacy, numeracy, physical activity, social and emotional well-being, and respect for others. Our learning environment promotes cultural awareness, including a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being. We offer opportunities for children to experience success and embrace new challenges as they learn and grow.
We recognize the significance of healthy eating and good nutrition in children's overall health and well-being. All our food is cooked on-site by our dedicated center cook, and our menu includes options for vegetarian and Halal diets.
Our dedicated team of early childhood educators is committed to providing the best care and education for your child. With a pool of curriculum support educators, we ensure consistency in the care and education of all children, without relying on external agencies to cover staff absences. We believe that the most amazing moments of learning occur when children are actively engaged and interested in their own learning.
We are proud to offer a separate 3 and 4-year-old funded kindergarten program, led by our qualified bachelor early childhood staff. Our aim is to ensure that every child experiences success in their learning and development.
Dandenong Day Nursery is honored to be sharing and learning on Bunurong land. We extend our gratitude to the traditional owners for their care of this great land, including our waterways, and for sharing their knowledge of land, culture, and truth.
We invite you to join our community and discover the warm and enriching environment that Dandenong Day Nursery has to offer. Contact us today to arrange a visit and see firsthand how we can support your child's growth and development.

"We have a 2 year old currently at Dandenong Day care and we've had her there since she was 6 months old. My wife and I both feel incredibly lucky to have found this place! We wanted to go to a non-profit centre and loved the feel of the place and outdoor space - there is a fantastic area where the kids can play in sandpits, on trampolines, on gym equipment and even under cover (outside) when the weather is not so great. But the staff are simply amazing. They treat our daughter like their own, and are caring and warm and always have busy days planned full of activities. It's hard to overstate how wonderful this place is."
"We have our 2 year old at DDN and feel so fortunate to have found this place. The staff are so kind and caring and genuinely interested in creating the foundations for early childhood education There is clearly a lot of time spent developing programmes and activities to ensure the children are engaged and learning. Highly recommended."
"It is sad that F.Khan has such a low opinion of how our service operates, particularly when the family have not attended child care for over 2 years. Whilst F.Khan has a negative opinion, our team remember her 3 children, who attended over the years with fondness. Our inclusion support staff, who worked with our room teachers, enabled the children to participate in everyday routines, provided opportunity to engage with friends and participate in the experiences that provided positive outcomes for their development. Hopefully this family have found a place that makes them happy! It has been a while, so we hope they are well."
"Not a good centre at all, very cheap quality and some educaters are not professional plus they are leaving kids alone in 3 years old room and I noticed this so many times and one day when I was in the office area, I saw kids were fighting and throwing books at each other and no one was there to stop them, I was watching kids from the door window and that was not the only time when I saw the kids unattended and this is illegal, they are just showing enough staff in the paperwork just to steal government money (greedy people) but actually they don't have enough staff. So parents be careful."
