"We had a fantastic afternoon at the Diamond Creek Regional Playspace. There are heaps of different activities there for kids of all ages. Slides, swings and a huge sandpit which is mining themed. There are lots of pulleys and buckets and water for lots of fun. There are huge climbing frames here and a great flying fox for older kids. There is a huge grassy area for picnics and quite a few BBQs and under cover areas. There is a smaller kids play space as well with lots of little cubbies. Food and drinks are available in the tram Cafe along with toilets. Very close proximity to the Diamond Creek trail for walking and riding."
"There are enough shades for summer, large open area for the kids to run, benches and logs to sit while supervising the children. 2 separate climbing, balancing structures, flying fox, swings, barbecues. A Cafe with toilets and sandplay area under shade. Parking spots can roughly hold 40~50 cars The Cafe has seating area that has clear view to section of the playground"
"All I wanted to do was get a coffee from an old W class tram, now I’m stuck with my kids at an amazing playground with three flying foxes, a ropes course, and all manor of things designed to develop your kids brain without them realising it. I did get a little bit of sand in my shoes though, which did detract a little."
"Wow! Probably one of the few playgrounds that have quite a few choices for kids to play, family to have bbq or picnic, and have clean toilets! There's enough shade-y areas where you can set up your picnics. There are parking very close to the playground, which unfortunately doesnt show very well in Google map. When you enter the Mangrook Oval, follow the clockwise path past the lawn ball place on your left. Not far after that, there's a path that you can and should turn left (if you go straight , it's a one way) and you should be able to see the parking area in front of you soon after (and dog park on your right)."
"Clearly one of the best playgrounds in Melbourne. Very large which encourages kids movement and exploration. Set in natural bush surroundings, don’t miss the restored original Melbourne Tram up on the back hill!"
