"Moulin Rouge at the Regent Theatre. Such a beautiful building and comfy seating. The prices at the theatre bar for drinks and short food list are super hexy. Bring your own. Oh and the female toilet line at intermission is about 20mts long outside the toilet. Hold it in ladies...Good view of the stage from all seats. The good -- the bad--its all part of going to see a musical here."
"Loved the Regent theatre. It's such a beautiful and opulent theatre. It must be the most beautiful theatre in Melbourne if not in Australia. I love watching musical shows here as there are no pillars blocking your view wherever you sit. You will have a great view no matter which seat you are at."
"Beautiful theatre- so pretty and ornate, lavishly decorated and reminiscent of a past era of glamour. Has good toilet facilities and I think it's a great idea to have the 2 little serveries that open at the back of the theatre during intermission to serve drinks and snacks( as well as the big bar) I have also been to a function in their Plaza ballroom which is just spectacular with a magnificent staircase setting the scene as you enter. Gorgeous architecture and romantic setting- great for functions, weddings, balls. Very memorable!!"
"The Regent Theatre on Collins Street is lavishly decorated and one of my favourite theatres to see a show in Melbourne! The beautiful entrance hall, draping velvet curtains and chandeliers make coming to the Regent a great experience. There are bars both upstairs and downstairs where you can grab snacks and drinks before and during the show. The main con of this theatre is that there aren’t enough women’s toilets. Make sure you go before you come to avoid waiting for ages in the bathroom line."
