Since its opening in 1990, Montien Tong has become a go-to restaurant for locals of all ages, thanks to its delicious Thai cuisine and warm atmosphere. Our family-owned establishment has earned a well-deserved reputation for serving traditional dishes that celebrate Tina's passion for Thai cooking.
While the restaurant has aged gracefully, we are excited to announce that Montien Tong will be undergoing a fresh new look to reflect the vibrant Cronulla culture. However, rest assured that our commitment to serving honest, traditional, and affordable Thai food remains at the heart of Montien Thai Kitchen.
We are delighted to welcome you to our restaurant, where you can indulge in the rich flavors of Thailand, prepared with love and care by our dedicated team. From classic favorites like Pad Thai and Green Curry to lesser-known gems, our menu offers a wide range of options to satisfy every palate.
Please note that for Friday, Saturday, and Public Holiday Sunday dinner bookings, we require a credit card pre-authorization of $25 per person as a Booking Guarantee. This amount will be verified but not charged at the time of booking. However, failure to cancel your reservation within 24 hours or notify us of changes in guest numbers at least 12 hours in advance may result in the charge of the Booking Guarantee.
Additionally, we offer BYO Wine only, with a corkage fee of $3 per person. Please note that we do not accept other beverages such as beers, soft drinks, or liqueurs on the premises.

"Been coming to montein Thai for over a decade, always great food at affordable price , but new place and itall changed. The food is still nice but you get less and pay more. I understand everything in the last year has gone up , but seriously fried rice $19 no chicken just vegetables, it's just steamed rice with a bit flavour and vegetables. All meal were small with lots of vegetables. Will not return can't afford $100 takeaway meal for 2 adult and a toddler."
