"I’m Greek background and critical trying Greek food and have to say I was pleasantly surprised having dinner here recently as I had been here many years ago and wasn’t happy with the quality of the food. The food recently had been amazing and authentic. We had the ‘Greek yum cha’ which is basically a set all you can eat menu and the servings were reasonable as it’s all you can eat. If you request for more food the waiter attentively brings this to you on request. The dips, calamari, meatballs and salad was all very nice. The final plate of roast lamb which I think was kleftiko was superb - tender and very tasty. The service was also very attentive with the waiter asking for top up of our drinks regularly. We had a great time and the setting is relaxed and casual. I would return based on my great experience and tasty fresh food!"
"Ok, firstly. The term “yum cha” really needs to be changed, it’s quite confusing actually… it’s actually just tapas. So “all you can eat Greek tapas” would be more accurate. When the food looks like it is running low on the tables, it would be nice for the staff to come around and ask if any top ups are required, that way it looks like you’re attentive and the customers are getting what they’re paying for. The restaurant was not easy to locate especially if you are driving at night and don’t realise it’s upstairs from Zinc bar. Food wasn’t too bad. The pita and dips were nice. The meatballs were a tad on the salty side. The lamb was nice, the halloumi was halloumi, was good (not much else to be said), the chicken drumettes and salt and pepper squid were nice and had good texture, the tiropites/pastries were quite bland and the fries needed to be cooked longer so that they were actually crunchy. Drinks were really good. Apart from not being asked if we needed any top ups (with exception of drinks) the customer service was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and hospitable. Food came out relatively quick. All in all the place was ok. Not worth the $55 per head for all you can eat unless you actually get your food topped up."
"Nice food. Small portions, which is fine as it's all you can eat. However, they weren't really checking if we wanted top ups when we finished our plates. Then they were closing the kitchen before we were finished. They didn't even check with tables if they wanted more before closing. Overall nice enough but expensive for what we got."
"The staff are very welcoming. I found the service button on the table quite helpful when we wanted to order more drinks. I highly recommend sitting outside the terrace as there are nice views. You can’t go wrong with a trio of dips, and they had a good selection of wines too."
"Located in North Cronulla. Have always seen Opah, heard about Opah, friends have visited reguarly but this was my first visit! Welcomed as soon as i got to the door by the bartender. I bet this place is more popular in summer with indoor/outdoor balcony dining style. The most popular is the $45 all you can eat menu, cheaper menus are available in off-peak times. Its fantastic value for the quality of food you get. With the big photo of Santorini on the wall, it makes you feel like a part of you is dining in Greece. Matt from Opah was great, explaining the restaurant’s background and each dish in details - us foodies love this! The service was fantastic throughout the night and we felt very looked after. The cocktail of the night, was advertised on the table and was the drink of choice in the group. Pacific Pash $16; Fresh lime, lychee, passion fruit, peach schnapps and vodka shaken on ice - couldn’t taste the alcohol at all, so freshening and generous serving. Playing favourites; Taramosalata with flat bread - my fav greek dip and this didn’t disappoint Grilled Haloumi Cheese - this was SO yummy, i don’t know what they did to the cheese but it melted amazingly Tiropites w Honey & Thyme - the honey and thyme absolutely made the dish 16 Hour Spit Roast Lamb - melt in your mouth amazingness FAMOUS Death By Chocolate$20 Double chocolate ice cream, brownie, choc nibs, choc sauce & whipped cream (serves 2)"
