Reviews
"disappointment and frustration with the customer service , I felt compelled to share my feedback as I believe it is crucial for the management to be aware of the issues customers are facing. During my recent visits to your store, particularly in the perfume and makeup sections, I and other customer around encountered incredibly rude and unwelcoming behavior from your staff. The attitude displayed by your employees was not only disheartening but also deeply disrespectful, entirely unwarranted and unacceptable, especially in a store that is supposed to cater to the needs of all customers, regardless of their preferences. I want to emphasize that I understand the nature of your store as a drug store and not an expensive boutique. However, the level of customer service provided should not be dictated by the price range of the products you offer. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their purchase. Upon reading reviews from other customers, it became evident that I am not the only one facing this issue. Many others have shared similar experiences, consistently pointing out the rudeness and lack of professionalism exhibited by your staff, particularly in the perfume and and makeup sections."
"The security guy stared at my bag when I entered. I paid for products and was way out and he checked my bag, asking if I stole anything. The beep noise made him search my bag again, asking if I took something free again even though it was a cashier's fault who didn't scan things properly. I paid and was treated like a thief! Am I easy on you? Ridiculously rude treatment towards customers. I want to return the stuff I bought and get my money back plus apology."
"I wish there was an option to give zero stars on here. The worst warehouse in Australia. Today I went in to get some medicine for my husband and while I waited for them to give me the medicine, I decided to look around the makeup section “Maybelline”. I went to see if I liked the color of the lipstick, so I picked the one that was already open and went to try it on my lips. While trying, the worker came up to me and told me that I have to buy it because it touched my lips and I have to buy it. I explained to to them that it was totally open before I used it and I thought it was a tester but they said even if someone else has opened it, I must buy it because they saw me using it. Like what? That is ridiculous. It’s part of their job to make sure every product is Safe and unused every single day but instead they made me buy it against my own will because I genuinely thought it was a tester due to it being already used and opened. After getting my medication I went to pay for my items and as I didn’t want to buy the lipstick, I told the worker that I didn’t need it but I saw two workers running to the cashier and told the girl serving us that we must pay for it because we used it. I’m not upset for paying for it because to me that $22 is nothing but what I’m hurt about is their attitudes and how they forced me to buy something I didn’t want just because I used a product which was already open and used thinking it was a tester and it’s their job to makes sure their products aren’t open before they open the shop. I will be never buying from the chemist at Glen and I also wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there either. So so so rude and ridiculous."
"The security guard physically grabbed my shopping bag and stuck his hands into it and flipped items around to search. I don’t know where you managed to hire the worst security guard from hell. Had the worst shopping experience there ever. He basically physically blocked me from the exit and accused me of hiding things, after I showed him the bag with items bought from another store which triggered the security alarm, this I understand. But he used an accusing tone and asked me why did it beep, and looked me up and down as if to find where I hid things. I had a sleeping baby in a pram, and as a small Asian female I felt instantly threatened and humiliated. I said go ahead and search my nappy bag, but I will expect an apology if he finds nothing. The security guard just said, if you have done nothing wrong then why are you angry…. Is there something wrong with him? To say things like this? And when I complained to the store manager, she simply didn’t care, just said too many people stealing these days. Okay so now I can see is chemist warehouse giving stuff training so they can treat people like thieves?"
"Better off going to Terry white. If you accidentally put your script in here before the date allowed, they go on some sort of power trip treating you like some kind of drug addict, demanding evidence why you need it early. Despite knowing nothing about what your meds are prescribed for. Very unperson centred, unethical and unprofessional behaviour"
