"Long time fan, but unfortunately will never be going back. We'd been coming here for years, but after the change in owners a little while ago, this place has gone downhill. We were seated last night for over 20 minutes, the table wasn't set (no chopsticks, serviettes, water etc), pressed their button for service 3 times (as instructed) and after waving the waitress down, was basically told it would be a long wait, like an hour or so. She didn't even get her pen out. I saw another table going up to the counter to do their order. Only one table had food on their table. It's a small restaurant, maybe 8 tables. We must have been here at least 20 times.. Not sure what's going on here these days, but we'll give it a miss now."
"Beautiful authentic Japanese food, with fresh seafood, exquisite flavours and good service. With all of this nestled into a welcoming atmosphere, Asako is an amazing choice for a weekend or Friday night dinner."
"Delightful, tasty, fresh, authentic, modern Japanese restaurant. The serving sizes here are so generous and hearty. The food is so fresh and delicious with authentic flavours and ingredients. The seaweed and tofu salad was a refreshing and delicious accompaniment to my vegetable udon dish. The noodles are so tender and soft and the perfect consistency. The broth is hot and fresh and delicious and the vegetable tempura is crunchy and yummy. My companions really enjoyed their sizzling beef dish which was a delightful combination of meat and vegetables on a hot plate. All the food is so beautifully presented in authentic Japanese bowls and plates. All the food is so fresh and flavourful and warming. It's perfect for a cosy lunch or dinner alone or with your companions. The seating is comfortable and very spacious with plenty of seating options to choose from. The service here is friendly and welcoming and accomodating. They do their best to help you out. Overall I cannot fault this restaurant at all and I would definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner. It is now one of my favourite Japanese restaurants and I can't wait to come back !"
"Delicious, fresh Japanese food in a cosy setting. The tempura was super crispy, the gyoza were full of flavour and the sashimi was super fresh. Will definitely be back!"
