"Having visited the Homesavers store in Ballyshannon Co.Donegal today,I left empty handed. Not because they didn't stock what I wanted but when I got through the checkout, the assistant informed me that prices on the items were in sterling prices. She called the supervisor who explained that there was signs up saying that the Euro price was displayed on the shelf. Also she showed me a signage indicating this. I said I would give sterling but they didn't take cash only card. I send a complaint on the Homesavers website. I also called the CCPC to ask if this would be allowed. Unfortunately they are adhering to legislation if the Euro prices are displayed also. However, no one really goes into a shop and starts wondering what currency will I be paying in. Although the staff were very nice, they were sympathetic towards my frustration. I think that the pricing structure is quite archaic for 2022."
