"Booked this b&b on booking.com, paid for the room, travelled a good distance to stay here and when we arrived we were told there was no rooms available even though we had it paid for and had a confirmation email of our booking from booking.com. Would not recommended."
"Just had a 2 night stay with the husband in the lough gill Lodge b+b,straight up no TV in room or tea and coffee facilities but...it was a lovely home away from home stay,it was so warm and cozy, breakfasts were scrumptious..the real joy of the stay is the wonderful, eccentric funny hospitable ott host Mel,he is a treasure who goes above and beyond,he is a natural people person. He even drove us to the train station for our train..Will definitely be back, for Mel ,the wonderful host x"
"Mel was a very hospitable and kind host. The breakfast served is either continental or English. The rooms are cosy and the water - room heaters are all good. The kitchen was accessible to previous visitors but now it isn't because of covid. I would recommend the place and would advise to book it a little prior to your date of visit."
"Don't even think about staying here. This is the 6th county we're visiting on this trip in Ireland. This is the only accommodation I absolutely cannot recommend. If I could afford it I would have left, even though I paid. Very cold! The heating only goes on for a few hours in the evening and morning. During the night and day the room is freezing. We asked (begged) for more heating, the reply was 'i never put the heating on at night! There was a storm on our second day we had to sit in the car as it was too cold in the room. Water in the shower is a trickle. Not enough to wash your hair and not very warm. We asked for plant milk and were simply told it's not available. We stayed in 15 places before this (we're on a road trip for three months) and ALL with no exception, provided plant milk. Jam and butter are in large tubs/jars so all guests stick their knives into the same place (as opposed to individual portions as you get in other places). It's not cheap - it was actually one of the highest rates we paid. And what we got was really not at all in line with what we paid."
"Kind and helpful owner, really fun to talk to. Great position to visit sligo and its surroundings. Big, clean rooms, tasty irish breakfast and affordable prices"
