"Lovely place to spend a fews days, right beside the lake, loads of forest walks close by plus only a few minutes drive to the village."
"Lovely location but the weather was bad and we had a lot of rain.Some Very bad surfaces around the park which needs to be resurfaced , ideally to be tarmarced.Sadly,the lake which was in pristine condition up to the 1970s is not anything like it was then.The main problem is due to runoff from over fertilisation of farmland and slurry which comes from its source in Cavan right down to here with eutrophication on the lake in Summer and it has decimated all fish stocks in the entire Shannon system. Very sad,but otherwise the location is excellent."
